SUMMARY:Future of AI Summit 2023
DESCRIPTION:5-16 November 2023\nPowering the next business revolution\nIn-Person & Digital | etc Venues\, 155 Bishopsgate\, London | #FTFutureofAI \nDon’t get left behind \nEveryone is talking about AI. The launch of ChatGPT in November 2022\, an easy-to-use interface that generates original content in a matter of seconds\, has crystalised its potential. Advocates predict it will revolutionise business operations\, bring major productivity gains and hard-to-compete-with advantage. Its critics cite ethical concerns\, worries about scaling bias\, and the impact of AI on jobs. Will AI live up to its promise? Discover what all the fuss is about and properly evaluate the AI opportunity at our flagship Future of AI. \nHow is AI being used to boost productivity and profits? Should you invest in AI tech now\, or would it be better to wait? Is it better to develop in-house talent to build AI capability\, collaborate with a specialist AI partner\, or outsource it entirely? How do you achieve company-wide commitment to making AI the backbone of your business? Are your customers ready? Have you got the right governance structures in place? Get the big picture as well as clear lines of sight from early adopters on how best to explain\, apply\, govern\, integrate\, scale\, and commercialise AI\, wherever you are on your AI Journey. \nFeaturing: \nIn conversation: The AI Divide – Will data inequality destroy healthy competition? (16 Nov 2023) \nGenerating AI’s game-changing future products and services requires large quantities of data\, which may create a market problem. How do smaller companies that can’t afford big data sets compete? Are there cheaper ways to develop large language models (LLMs)? \nAmanda Brock\, CEO\, OpenUK \nSeth Dobrin\, Member of the Board\, AI Governance Board\, former Chief AI Officer\, IBM \nModerator: Murad Ahmed\, Technology News Editor\, Financial Times

SUMMARY:XChange MSP
DESCRIPTION:THE CHIEF NETWORKING EVENT FOR UK \nPROVIDERS  OF MANAGED SERVICES \nThursday 19 October 2023 \, The May Fair Hotel Stratton Street\, Mayfair\, London\, W1J 8LT \nMSPs had a paramount 2021 and 2022 with significant M&A deals impacting the channel and its partners in a considerable way. SUMMARY:We need to talk about open source
DESCRIPTION:If your company is involved in developing software\, then you’re aware of the importance of open-source code. Developers love it! Legal departments fear it! Questions around compliance\, governance\, and the commercial implications of open source are ubiquitous and multi-faceted. \nEnter the era of generative AI\, and open models are competing with proprietary heavyweights. But which will win out in the long term? And does unfettered access to such technologies help\, or hinder\, the drive towards improved safety and equity? \nWe’re ready to open up on open source at our next Codiphy event. \nThis time\, we’ll be focusing on the commercial aspects of using and offering open-source software\, and on the intersection between open source and AI. \nClick the Register button to join us at EIP’s London office for two panel sessions with top voices in the industry. We’ll end the evening with good food\, good company\, and an open (source) cocktail bar.
