Chris Lloyd-Jones has joined Kyndryl Consult as VP for AI Transformation, leading our shift into an AI-native consultancy. A six-time Microsoft MVP in AI and member of the OpenUK leadership team, he co-authored the ISO standard for carbon-aware computing through the Green Software Foundation, where he served as Vice-Chair. He is also completing a doctorate in data science on sustainable software design and digital twins.

Previously at Avanade, Chris spent nearly a decade building and scaling new capabilities, including launching avanade.ai, creating the company’s Open Source Projects Office, and leading global teams in areas from intelligent edge to confidential computing. His client work included guiding organizations enterprise-scale AI transformation and supporting major financial services firms to embrace open source.

Chris combines open source expertise, engineering and ML delivery, and legal-regulatory experience to shape responsible AI governance. At Kyndryl, he is driving AI transformation internally – consultancy, platforms, ways of working, and guardrails – while helping clients scale AI adoption responsibly.
