The Open Manifesto 2024
UK Parliamentary elections have been called on 22 May and the election of Members of Parliament will take place across the UK on 4 July 2024. OpenUK released The Open Manifesto in February 2024, with 3 asks for the future UK Government on Open Source:
- Building Skills in Open Source Software
- Enabling the UK Public Sector to do Open Source Software better
- AI Openness
OpenUK is asking individuals and organisations in the UK to lend their support to The Open Manifesto and with your support will deliver it to the leaders of all UK Political Parties before the election.
There is a draft letter for you to use to share The Open Manifesto with the Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPCs) in your area, to ask them to support it whatever party they represent.
