Adrian Woodhead
Distinguished Software Engineer, HUMANAdrian is a software developer, architect and technical team lead with over twenty years of professional experience in a wide variety of technologies, most recently specialising in “big data”. He has worked for a multimedia startup (lots of fun), a digital rights management platform (helping content creators get paid for their works), a content management company (duller than it sounds), a bank (less dull than it sounds), Last.fm (when it was the poster child for London’s tech scene) and an assortment of failed startups. He has been a passionate advocate for open source, most notably heading up open source efforts at the Expedia Group. He currently works on the Data Platform for the cybersecurity company HUMAN. One of his focus areas is using open source contributions as a way to encourage, develop and build the confidence of young software engineers.
