Clare Schramm Fergus is a technology platforms MD at Lloyds Banking Group. She runs a team of engineers responsible for the design, build, and evolution of core banking systems using AI.

Previously, Clare was the Cloud Engineering MD at BT where she ran the technology platforms that hosted BT’s networks. She also worked for two hyperscalers, Google and IBM, in various engineering leadership roles. Clare is a systems engineer by background.

Clare is an advocate for the Open Source community within regulated industries and envisages a future where there are no barriers to technology innovation.

Ashley Ward is a technology leader with over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and cloud. A former Group CTO of a €4.5 billion public company, he is now helping organisations securely consume open source container images. Ashley has enabled organisations to adopt open source responsibly since 2005 and is active across the UK’s open technology ecosystem. Serving as a Justice of the Peace since 2017, he brings integrity, governance experience, and a strong commitment to public service to the OpenUK Board.
