Godfrey Inyama
Godfrey Inyama is a seasoned software engineer who started off his career in 2016 and now specialises in Artificial Intelligence. Currently researching for his Doctorate at Heriot-Watt University, his research focuses on LLM-driven Agents for mixed-initiative dialogue and human-robot collaboration in dynamic environments. His academic record is distinguished by a First-Class Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, an MSc in Robotics, an MPhil in Computing, and a CPD in Machine Learning.
A serial scholar, Godfrey has secured numerous local and international fully funded scholarships, including the prestigious PTDF scholarship. His contributions to open technology earned him the 2024 NITA Tech ML Personality of the Year award, a runner-up AI award, and recognition in the OpenUK 6th New Year Honours on AI Openesses. Godfrey is a dedicated advocate for AI Openness and UK leadership in the responsible and safe operations of embodied agents.
