OpenUK will be hosting a 1000-person plus, two-day conference in Central London, “State of Open Con 23”  in association with IEEE, the headline sponsor.

This is planned to take place at the QEII Centre in Parliament Square and the area outside, on the 7th and 8th February.

We will host plenary sessions on day one, with all delegates spending the morning in one room, the vision being to bring together the UN and International Governments and public sector on the same stage for the morning before delegates break for lunch and return to a half day on the 7th and a full day on the 8th with tracks:

  • Platform Engineering
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Security
  • Government, Law and Policy
  • Open Data
  • Open Hardware
  • Unconference

The remainder of the building will be converted into a Comms Suite with press, YouTubers, etc etc and much of the space will be taken up by experiential content and a State of Open Photo Shoot of 50 Key figures in Open Source, sponsored by Arm.  This has been taken by young photographer Tiana Lee and will also be hung other places in 2023.

CFP is now closed!

Thank you for the great response! Speakers will be informed from 4th January.
