Collaborating with local open technology communities, enterprises and policy organisations across India, OpenUK and its new sister organisation OpenHQ will raise awareness of AI openness ahead of the Indian AI Impact Summit in February 2026, in Delhi. This will continue the conversation opened by Prime Minister Modi in his opening speech at the Paris AI Action Summit in 2025, when he mentioned the need for “access for all” to AI through “open source” AI.

This will be done through AI Openness reporting and a series of 4 pulbic events across India in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi, and a high level invite only roundtable in Delhi in August 2025.

We also plan future reporting and a fringe event around the AI Impact Summit.

We continue to onboard further sponsors and partners. To be part of this contact mailto:admin@openuk.uk
Thanks in particular to Divya Mohan, Rohit Ghumare and Kunal Kushwaha, for so much hard work.
