Dear Readers,

As we head into the Easter break, we are focused on organising our 6th Annual Awards, as part of OpenUK’s recognition program which has now been running for 6 years and which showcases the UK based folks leading in open technology. The Awards will launch towards the end of April.

Our policy work is as busy as ever and we will be hosting two roundtables in Parliament thanks to Sarah Edwards MP. These will be in the House of Commons and focus on the place open source can play in developing skills and the plans for a UK data library. More info in the newsletter and do please register if you want to attend as spots at these are very limited.

Our various advisory boards and data centre group are as busy as ever and in the case of our data centre group they are working on an output for COP30. More to follow on our involvement in COP30 and open technology for sustainability after the break.

We will also be sharing the content for our Thought Leadership Day taking place in Cambridge on 12 June after the break, so please save the date if you have not already. You can also look forward to our annual survey coming your way in May and the report sharing our survey outputs will launch at a drinks reception on 3 July at the House of Commons.
