Dear Readers,

Greetings from KubeCon + CloudNativeCon here in London which sees a record breaking crowd attend the second European KubeCon + CloudNativeCon to be held in London. We are delighted to share our report on the UK’s contributions to Kubernetes and CNCF and to welcome the world to London to celebrate open source and the impact both Kubernetes and CNCF have had on democratising tech. Particular thanks to Chris Aniszczyk, CTO of CNCF for contributing the forward.

We will be sharing the agenda for our May 14 Thought Leadership Day shortly and can promise some amazing content. If you can join us on the afternoon of the 14th, please get signed up.

Europe’s first KubeCon held in 2016 could not have foreseen the scale of growth or the UK’s level of contribution where today it is the world’s 3rd largest contributor to Kubernetes and Europe’s leader.

From the early days of Kubernetes in 2014 to 2025 contributions the report features key insights into Kubernetes in the UK from Alexis Richardson, Andrew Martin, Amanda Brock, Cheryl Hung, Chris Aniszczyk, Dr Jennifer Barth, Justin Cormack, Kat Cosgrove, Liz Rice, Matt Barker, Nicki Watt.
