As the Insight Softmax CTO, Alex Scammon oversees the technical strategic direction for the company. With a focus on infrastructure and data engineering, Alex is helping ISC set the standard for new and sustainable approaches to open-source software. Under his leadership, ISC is also working to develop and apply cutting-edge technology to practical business applications.

Alex, who previously headed multiple engineering teams at the Rackspace office in San Francisco, is one of two founding members of ISC. Today, at over 70 engineers strong, the company sits at the epicenter of both theoretical and practical technology initiatives. His long-term vision for ISC is to evolve today’s machine-learning data science to be thousands of times faster, better and more reliable.

Alex’s experience also includes a leadership role at Yahoo!. He earned his degree from Harvard University.
