Austin Orumwense is a cybersecurity professional, researcher and founder of Astrosec, a UK community cybersecurity initiative supporting students, early-career professionals and small businesses. He works in security operations and serves as a Visiting Associate Researcher at the Centre of Intelligence of Things, University of Greater Manchester. His interests include cloud security, advanced persistent threat detection, responsible AI and the secure adoption of open technologies. Austin is the 2026 ISC2 EMEA recipient of the Rising Star Professional and Inclusion Impact Awards. He has contributed to ISC2 technical guidance and Code of Professional Conduct resources and judged the 2026 SC Awards Europe.
