Bethany Griggs is a Senior Software Engineer at IBM, where she has recently returned to focus on cloud native runtimes. Active in the Node.js community since 2016, she began her career on IBM’s Node.js Runtime Team, contributing to its stability and growth. She has held leadership roles on the Node.js Technical Steering Committee and Release Working Group, supporting governance and releases. More recently, she spent several years contributing to the Backstage project and developer platform initiatives. Bethany is particularly interested in supply chain security, agentic systems, and the long-term sustainability of open source ecosystems.
