Postdoctoral researcher, University of Bath & Co-organiser, Open Hardware Makers

I’m a postdoctoral researcher studying social aspects of open hardware in science. I’m currently based at University of Bath, where I’m working on a case study of the OpenFlexure microscope. I founded a global group of researchers studying different aspects of open hardware practice, and co-founded Open Hardware Makers, a mentorship program for open hardware developers worldwide. I’m interested in how policy can better support open hardware as a way towards reusable, more inclusive and sustainable technology.
