Shubz Sharma is a founding engineer at Torus (YC S26), where she works on agentic engineering for physical infrastructure. Alongside, she researches AI safety with grant funding from BlueDot Impact, and contributes to open-source evaluation tooling in the AI safety space — including the UK AI Security Institute’s inspect_evals project. She read maths and computer science at Oxford, and was previously first engineering hire at Orion, a Techstars-backed geospatial intelligence startup. She is an ambassador for STEM and AI with DeepLearning.AI’s Pie & AI, InnovateHer, and the “I’m a Scientist” programme, and a member of the Institute of Physics and the IMA.
