Dear Readers,
One of my favourite jobs each year is to share the shortlisted nominees in the “Oscars of Open Source”, the OpenUK Awards. I have no involvement in the judging process and am as excited as you to see the list each year.
Now in its sixth year, we are indebted to our sponsors who have made the 2025 OpenUK Awards possible: Arm, AutoGPT, Control Plane, CyberArk, Iain G Mitchell KC, lowRISC, Open Data Institute, and Red Badger. Thanks for making this possible.
We are also grateful to those who each provide a category judge and to the Judges, Liz Rice, Lisa Allen and Nicolas Vibert.

OpenUK 6th Annual Awards 2025 Shortlists

We are restricted to 120 attendees at the Awards Ceremony, and each shortlisted nominee is offered one free space to join us. Our Awards is the ticket that money cannot buy, and we look forward to a full house yet again, as our community dusts off their black tie (or equivalent) and scrubs up to celebrate their achievements.
For any nominees who are not shortlisted, congratulations on your deserving nomination, and sorry that you did not make the final list this year. You are doing a brilliant job, recognised by your having been nominated. Keep up the great work, and do please apply again next year.
For those of you shortlisted, I wish each of you the best of luck and look forward to meeting you on 4 December.
Best wishes,
Amanda
