Become an OpenUK Ambassador

OpenUK’s ambassador programme is 5 years old, and it is time for a refresh.  We will be updating our cohort of Ambassadors this December, ready to work with us from 2025.  Ambassadors will be appointed for two year terms and that term may be renewed.

We have 3 Categories of Ambassadors:

OpenUK Ambassador – you will have at least 10 years of contribution to Open Tech or an exceptional contribution,  be UK-based (tax resident in the preceding 12 months), and want to contribute to OpenUK’s mission of UK leadership and global collaboration in Open Technology, being open source software, hardware, data, standards or AI.

Apprentice Ambassador – actively contributing to open tech for less than 10 years and UK-based (tax resident in the preceding 12 months), and want to contribute to OpenUK’s mission of UK leadership and global collaboration in open tech

International Ambassador – Not a UK Resident and wish to collaborate with OpenUK, to enhance our mission of UK Leadership and Global Collaboration in Open Technology

Why become an OpenUK Ambassador?

Being an OpenUK Ambassador allows you to engage with and on behalf of OpenUK, representing us at events organised by OpenUK and third parties, and participating in OpenUK activities or on our behalf on third party projects. You will become a part of a close-knit world leading open tech community, make friends and contacts across that community, as well as keeping your finger on the pulse of the key issues open tech faces today and in the future. Most of all, you will have fun.
